CORVALLIS, Ore. ? A middle school student has become the seventh person in Corvallis in the past 15 months to be diagnosed with meningitis.

Benton County officials say the student, who attends Linus Pauling Middle School, was hospitalized Sunday, Jan. 14. Six cases of meningitis have been reported at Oregon State University in the past 15 months, the most recent occurring in December 2017.
