An outbreak of influenza A has been declared at University Hospital.

The Alert Level Two Outbreak was announced by the London Health Sciences Centre Thursday afternoon (Dec. 27). It affects the Inpatient Medicine Unit North West Corridor at University Hospital.

According to the LHSC, a ?level two? can be declared when there have been two laboratory confirmed cases of hospital acquired influenza (when the patient has been in facility for more than 72 hours) on a specific unit during the incubation/communicability period...
