The Health Ministry says there's been a delay in the arrival of swine flu vaccines, but most of the supply should arrive in March.
The Ministry says swine flu remains at a low level, but it's preparing for an upsurge next year.
The vaccine will be included in the seasonal flu jabs, which are usually given from March.
The Ministry says it had intended to begin the jabs earlier next year, but international demand means the bulk of the vaccine won't arrive until March.
Officials say they're in close contact with the vaccine makers to ensure supplies are available quickly.
They say swine flu has passed its peak in North America and parts of Europe, but continues to increase in central and southeastern Europe, south and east Asia and Africa.
