NY1 Poll: Flu Fears Remain Strong Among City Residents
By: NY1 News
According to an exclusive NY1 poll conducted last week in conjunction with the New York Times and Cornell University, when it comes to catching the H1N1 virus, more than six out of 10 New Yorkers worry they or someone in their household will get sick.
In spite of their concern, most New Yorkers say the city has done a decent job, or better, of responding to the H1N1 outbreak so far.
Overall, the city gets high marks for the information it has provided about the outbreak. More than two thirds of those who answered the survey said they're either very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with the details they've been getting.
While the virus continues to stick around, it seems many New Yorkers will continue keeping their ears tuned toward what city officials are saying and doing, and what they should be looking out for in the months ahead.
