PEARL RIVER ? A student at Pearl River High School has been diagnosed with a potentially dangerous form of bacterial meningitis, officials said Friday.

The child has the streptococcus pneumoniae form of the illness, which is serious but not as deadly or contagious as the meningococcal form...
