Leif ?ivind Knudsen was close to death after he caught the swine flu in early October.
After a week of feverish fog at home on N?tter?y, Leif ?ivind did not realize anymore that he had become worse. But when his mother phoned to hear how he was doing, he was unable to account for himself, and it was the alarm. Then they went straight to solitary confinement at the hospital, and the rest of the family was notified that he was seriously ill.
The state went soon from bad to worse, and soon he had to fight for life. And he understood the gravity himself.
- I can not explain it. Its a sensation you get, you feel that this is not working well. It is not enough. Later, when I came to myself, I could recall a glimpse where I took hold of a doctor and cried out to him "I can not die, I have an eighteen-year daughter [Ida Lea Andreassen on photo above] who lives at home with me," he says.
But thanks to good doctors and expertise at the hospital, he survived. Now he will express a big thanks for all the hospital did for him and his family.
- That's why I set up an interview. I want to thank the hospital for the job they did. It was good craftsmanship, simply.
