A fourth person with swine flu has died in the Northern Territory, health authorities say.
The middle-aged woman had a number of serious medical conditions as well as being confirmed as having the H1N1 influenza virus, the NT Health Department said in a statement.
She died in Royal Darwin Hospital (RDH) on Saturday.
"She is the fourth NT resident whose death will be notified as H1N1-related in accordance with national reporting criteria," the statement said.
No further details were released at the family's request.
The statement said RDH staff wanted to pass on their "sincere sympathy" to the patient's family and friends.
There are currently 25 people with swine flu who are being treated in NT hospitals, including 17 people at RDH, six at Alice Springs Hospital and two at Katherine District Hospital.
