The state?s first child death from flu this season has been recorded in north Mississippi, officials say.

The state Department of Health said that influenza death also is the first for a Mississippi child since the 2009-10 H1N1 Pandemic flu season. The child who died had chronic underlying health conditions, the Health Department said in a news release...
