Sickness spreads to 123 on cruise ship

Just in time to spoil the holidays for some on a cruise, the Emerald Princess had a breakout of a contagious illness with 123 passengers and crew members becoming sick, a cruise line spokeswoman said Wednesday.

By the day after Christmas, 25 passengers on the 10-night Caribbean cruise were still experiencing symptoms of a gastrointestinal illness, Princess spokeswoman Karen Candy said...

...So far, the CDC has filed online reports of 15 outbreaks of illnesses on ships. Eighty percent have involved norovirus, according to the CDC reports. The other three are classified as unknown...
