BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) ? Whooping cough cases are on the rise in North Dakota. State health officials are urging parents and caregivers to make sure children are vaccinated against pertussis.

The Health Department says 179 cases have been reported in North Dakota. That's more than double the amount reported last year...
