The County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) announced Thursday it has confirmed two more swine flu deaths in San Diego this week.

A 25-year-old man and a 57-year-old man, both with underlying medical conditions, died from complications associated with the H1N1 Influenza virus, commonly called swine flu.

There have been nine deaths as a result of the H1N1 Influenza virus, and 641 confirmed cases of the swine flu in the county. The public is encouraged to stay home from work or school if they have influenza-like illness or symptoms similar to the seasonal flu which include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.

If an individual with underlying medical conditions is experiencing influenza-like illness or symptoms, they should contact their primary care physician in a timely manner, the HHSA said in a release.
