Bird flu hits Ebonyi, 400 fowls dead

There is panic amongst poultry farmers in Ebonyi State following the deaths of about 400 fowls Sunday in a poultry farm located in Ugwu Achara, Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state following an outbreak of bird flu otherwise known as avian influenza.

The state Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Uchenna Orji confirmed the outbreak after visiting the farm for an on the spot assessment...
