NEW DELHI: Ankit Walia had a pain in the abdomen and he felt nauseated for over a week; little did he know the symptoms were the first signs of dengue. Faizan Ahmed said he never has high fever, a classical symptom of dengue, but when tests were conducted he was found positive for the disease.

But they are not alone. A number of patients confirmed positive for the mosquito-borne infection are presenting with unusual symptoms and there is rapid fall in platelet count, say doctors...
