New numbers released by Seattle/King County Public Health show three-quarters of the 274 COVID-19 deaths in King County are people who are white.
The numbers come after King County Executive Dow Constantine hinted about new numbers during a Friday morning virtual press conference involving rental assistance.
He said King County did not show the racial disparity that many other cities have observed.
Seventy-four percent who died due to COVID-19 complications were white, while 15 percent were described as Asian, four percent were African American, five percent Hispanic and Latino, and one percent Pacific Islander. The County reported no deaths that were Native American.
