The Washoe County Health District says four cases of a COVID-19 variant from India (B.1.617) were detected recently in the county.

Officials said none of the cases traveled, but one does work at a place where they intersect with travelers.

The four cases have not been related to any surges in COVID-19 cases, but the health district says they're watching out for all variants.
