Earthquake Shakes Schuyler, Rattles Nerves
Schuyler, NE- "In this part of the country we've never experienced anything like it before," says Duwayne Kracl.
He was startled by what he felt at 7:02 this morning. The surveillance camera outside his diesel repair shop caught the quake.
"It was very quick," he says. "Just a bang and a rumble. It lasted just 2 or 3 seconds."
A 3.3 magnitude earthquake hit 6 miles south of Kracl's shop in Schuyler and 2 miles north of Octavia. The U.S. Geological survey says the quake was nearly 3 miles underground, but everyone in the area felt it. It was definitely the talk of the town in Schuyler today.
"No one had any idea of what was going on," says Kracl"
