ASHEVILLE - The principal of Roberson High has notified parents after several confirmed cases of chickenpox at the school.

Principal Bonnie Johnston, in an email to Roberson families, urged them to make sure their child has been vaccinated...

...Buncombe County Health and Human Services officials say four cases have been reported at the school.

The first was confirmed last Friday, according to David Thompson, director of student services for Buncombe County Schools....

ASHEVILLE - A fifth case of chickenpox has been confirmed at Roberson High, prompting the school to require students who haven?t been vaccinated to stay at home.

The CDC considers five cases an outbreak. Around 50 Roberson students could be required to stay at home because of a lack of immunization records...
