Japanese Encephalitis vaccination prog held at Mkg
Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): Meeting on Japanese Encephalitis Vaccination Programme for the District was held at DC Conference Hall, Mokokchung on September 21 from 11:00 am onwards.
A press note stated that the meeting was convened by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Lithrongla G Chishi where Dy. CMO, DIO, DEO, DWO, Supervisors, BDOs, Private Practitioners, program Officers and SMO attended the meeting.
The note also stated that Dr. Limatula, DIO, Mokokchung emphasized on the roles and responsibilities of the District Task force for the implementation of the programme. Highlighting about the Japanese Encephalitis she maintained that it is an alarming disease and has become a health issue.
To prevent Japanese Encephalitis immunization programme would be carried out within the district starting from October 4 to 13 targeting the population between 1-15 years of age. The team would visit schools covering all rural and urban areas ensuring 100% immunization during the massive campaign. Inputs were also given from the members of different departments.
Deputy Commissioner also encouraged the members from different departments and general public to extend necessary support and Co-ordination to make the program a success, the note said.
