34 CHOLERA CASES DETECTED IN DISTRICT INCLUDING 4 IN CITY
Emergency meeting at MCC office tomorrow
Mysore, Apr.4 (KCU&RK)- With summer stepping in, 34 confirmed cases of cholera have been reported in the district including 4 from city.
Disclosing this to Star of Mysore here today, Mysore City Corporation (MCC) Health Officer Dr. Nagaraj said "One case each has been reported from Metagalli, Kumbarakoppal, Kuvempunagar and Gangotri Layout. All the 34 patients are being treated at the Epidemic Hospital on KRS Road and are said to be out of danger. An emergency meeting has been called tomorrow at 11 am at MCC office to be attended by Medical Superintendent of all city hospitals, officers of Zilla Panchayat and MCC to discuss on the matter and evolve a consensus action plan."
