Health Workers Form HIV Coalition After Outbreak

MISSOULA, Mont. -- Missoula County health officials hope a newly formed HIV coalition can help stop Missoula's unprecedented HIV outbreak.

Health officials say no new cases have been confirmed since NBC Montana told you at the end of March how 12 cases were diagnosed in four months, but Missoula health workers aren't taking any chances.

"There were many different people engaging in many different types of sexual encounters who were newly infected with HIV,? said Open Aid Alliance Director Christa Weathers. ?Including people who thought they were in monogamous relationships, including people who may or may not have been married..."
