MP for effective steps to prevent chikungunya outbreak
Staff Reporter
NALGONDA: The Health department should have taken effective steps to prevent the outbreak of chikungunya in the State, Nalgonda MP and CPI leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy has observed.
Speaking to reporters after formally launching the distribution of homeopathic medicine for the viral fever here on Sunday, he said that the Medical and Health Department, in fact, had a vast network to tackle such an alarming situation. He expressed his displeasure over the department's failure to provide an effective alternative medication for the people.
Samma Reddy Memorial Trust and Chandra Rajeswar Rao Foundation are all set to distribute the homeopathic pills for the people in the district after the counting of the panchayat raj elections.
"Our party cadres would take up the task of distributing the medicine among the people. We are ready to supply the medicine for the needy," CPI district secretary and Munugode MLA Palla Venkat Reddy said.
