[h=2]Gov't-issued AI standstill order goes into effect

The government's 48-hour standstill order, issued Monday, goes into effect today to stop the movement of poultry, industry workers and equipment for decontamination procedures.
In issuing the order, Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn had also pledged to increase support to the affected regions and stressed the need for greater information-sharing among the central and local governments, farmhouses and experts.
More than 12-million poultry have been culled since the outbreak began in mid-November.
