The Institute for Public Health (IJZCG) announced that they registered the seventh case of measles (small pox) in Montenegro.

They say that the virus was registered in a person from Pljevlja (46) who, according to the data obtained from the epidemiological investigation, was exposed to the measles virus during his stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a large epidemic is ongoing.​..

During the previous 7 days (from 3 to 9 September), two new cases of measles were registered, bringing the total number of registered cases in Montenegro to 25, the Institute of Public Health (IJZ) has announced.

Out of the two newly registered cases, one was registered in Berane, and the other in Tuzi.

According to the IJZ, all cases registered so far in Montenegro have been laboratory confirmed (based on PCR test and/or serological test – presence of specific measles antibodies).​..​
