What Is MDH Doing to Plan for a Pandemic?
The Minnesota Department of Health leads the human health aspects of pandemic planning for the state. Right now, MDH is monitoring for unusual flu strains in Minnesota that could be an influenza pandemic, and also helping people prepare for an influenza pandemic. During a pandemic, MDH has strategies to slow the spread of the disease as well as to protect the health of all Minnesotans.

- MDH Pandemic Influenza Plan
The entire plan: This supplement to the MDH All-Hazards Response and Recovery Plan gives details of MDH's activities during and in preparation of an influenza pandemic. There are three parts to the plan: the base plan, technical sections covering 11 areas, and additional attachments. Like all working plans, this one is a living document, and will continue to evolve. - MDH Pandemic Plan Preview Meetings
Documents supporting the MDH Pandemic Influenza Plan. These materials were handed out in a binder at the May, 2006 Plan Preview meetings. - MDH All-Hazards Response and Recovery Base Plan
The MDH All-Hazards Response and Recovery Base Plan establishes the organizational framework for the activation and management of Department activities that will be implemented in response to incidents having public health and/or medical implications.
