SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- The Miami Valley has its first confirmed case of the H1N1 virus, or the "Swine Flu."

Health leaders say a case of Novel H1N1 Influenza A has been confirmed in a 15 year old student at Northridge School, and another suspected case has been sent to a lab for testing. The student is said to be recovering at home.

The Clark County Combined Health District says it will continue to watch the situation closely. The case is the 16th confirmed case of H1N1 in Ohio.

The school, meanwhile, will conduct "business as usual" as suggested in guidelines from the Centers For Disease Control.

Over 6,000 cases of H1N1 have been confirmed in the United States over the past month. A woman in New York City died over the weekend after contracting the virus, bringing the death toll to 10 in the U.S. as a result of the disease.
