CHETUMAL Quintana Roo ? A 23-year-old female living in Playa del Carmen was confirmed as the third case of measles in Quintana Roo after having direct contact with an Austrian tourist who had measles detected.
The young woman, who according to a statement from the Quintana Roo Health State Secretariat is a health professional, and began to feel symptoms on August 17. She was hospitalized two days later, on August 19 at the IMSS clinic, where she tested positive for the illness...
...In Quintana Roo the first case was registered in June this year and was also a female tourist from England with no history of vaccination. The second case was recorded in August and was an Australian, also a female with no records of inoculation.
Now there are eight cases nationwide; of a disease that was practically eradicated in Mexico. There is currently one case in Nuevo Le?n, two in the State of Mexico, three in Quintana Roo, one in Chihuahua and one in San Luis Potos?...
