A good 4 page overview for public health planners. Addresses mental health issues in stages of preparedness, early pandemic response, later response and recovery. Mental health intervention planning is recommended for 8 areas: 1) protective health behaviors and response behaviors, 2) good risk communication, 3) good safety communication, 4) public education, 5) facilitating community directed efforts, 6) utilize evidence informed principles of psychological first aid, 7) care for the first responders to maintain their function and workplace presence, and 8) mental health surveillance.
