Said yesterday the provincial government, Mendoza is within the so-called 'Zone Alarm' on cases of pneumonia and bronchiolitis.
According to the weekly report of the Ministry of Health, the total backlog of cases at 28 weeks of 2011 is 6305 in the province. This represents a 25% increase on the same week in 2010.
Within the epidemiological analysis of the corridor there are four categories to describe the situation according to the number of cases of respiratory illness: success, safety, alarm and epidemics. Thus, the figures presented regarding pneumonia Mendoza locate it in the 'zone alarm'.
The cases of bronchiolitis (respiratory sinsicial virus) are also within the emergency. The total caseload to 28 weeks of 2011 in the province is 4310, and compared to the same week last year, an increase of 8%.
