Classes at Jagobiao school suspended until March 18

Wednesday, March 16, 2016 THE Department of Education (DepEd) in Mandaue City has suspended until March 18 the classes at Jagobiao National High School after about 20 students went hysterical Tuesday, March 15.
The students shouted and behaved differently; their voices also sounded different. The school teachers believe they were possessed by evil spirits after the school cut one of the trees inside the campus. [READ: 20 ka babayeng tinun-an 'nasudlan' og espiritu]
A Mass was held this morning, March 16, but radio reports said the students again went hysterical, causing panic. Some of the students were even brought to nearby hospitals by ambulances.
Dr. Arden Monisit, superintendent of DepEd Mandaue City, said in an interview with radio dyAB that medical teams and priests were sent to the school since Tuesday, March 15.
He said the DepEd had asked the church and the Department of Health to help look into the case, adding that they are looking at all aspects, including medical, psychological and spiritual...
