The report also gives cumulative figures for H1N1 since 2009. The total of 96 fatalities given in the article title is an increase of 4 from the last official report in August. However it states that only seven deaths were reported in 2010. A quick look through our threads from February to August shows that the MOH reported 15 deaths from February to August with the additional 4, this would make at least 19 fatalities reported for 2010.

KUCHING: A total of 44 confirmed cases of Influenza A(H1N1) were reported in Sarawak from Jan 1 to 28, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan.
In a statement released here yesterday, he also said there was an increase of Influenza-Like-Illness (ILI) cases reported in the final two weeks of 2010.
?In view of the increasing number of ILI and positive A(H1N1) cases, rapid spread of infection through close contacts especially in crowded conditions, and mass movement of people during the coming Chinese New Year holidays is likely, all of us have to take steps to prevent spread of A(HlN1) infection,? he said.
