Nine children down with unknown viral infection
KUALA LUMPUR, MON:
Nine children were admitted to the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC), Cheras, on Aug 15 for an unknown virus infection involving fever and a rash.
Its public relations officer, Foziah Hanon Ahmad, said that they had not received the last report on the blood test conducted and could not verify the source and type of virus.
?However, the children are in a stable condition and are being given the best care,? she said when contacted by Bernama, here today.
The affected children, aged between six and 12, were from the Tunku Budriah Children?s home in Cheras.
