Shirley M. Parsons

MADISON, Wis. - Shirley M. Parsons, 65, of Madison and formerly of Lake Geneva, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital, after a courageous battle with H1N1, pneumonia, and lupus.

She will be loved and missed by her eight children, Sandra, Laura, John, Rhonda, Brenda, James, Melinda and Jason and their families; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Harold Johannesen; a sister, Nancy Bengford; her best friend, Alberta; and other dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Sr. and Ila (Clary) Johannesen.

The visitation will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 4058 Lien Road, Madison. It was her wishes that a casual (comfy/jeans) memorial service to celebrate her life follow at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to the Lupus Foundation of America.
