Macau | First case of locally contracted dengue fever registered this year

The Health Bureau announced on Tuesday that it had registered the first case of dengue fever contracted in Macau this year, with some three cases contracted outside local borders having been registered this year so far

Macau (MNA) ? The Health Bureau announced on Tuesday that it has registered the first case of dengue fever contracted in Macau this year.

According to the Bureau, on June 10 a 58-year old hotel worker who lives in the northern district of Areia Preta displayed symptoms of fever, muscle aches and fatigue...

Macau | New imported case of dengue registered - Health Bureau

Macau (MNA) ? A new dengue fever case involving a 35-year old male who was treated in Gongbei, Zhuhai was reported by the Health Bureau (SS).

The Bureau had been notified about the case on October 2, and classified it as an imported dengue case as the man, who was identified as an employee of Grand Lisboa Palace, had been visiting relatives in Xinhui province in Guangdong weekly.

He had visited relatives on September 23 to 25 as well as September 29.

On September 28, the man had developed symptoms such as fever, chills and muscle aches and visited a private clinic.

The man had returned to Macau on October 1 for a blood test and was diagnosed with Type 1 Dengue Fever on October 2.

The man denied he had visited three affected areas in Macau, namely, Rua de Pedro Nolasco da Silva, Rua do Campo and Travessa dos Anjos, where three cases of Type 3 Dengue Fever had been previously reported, which therefore defined this case as an imported one...

Macau | 12th imported case of dengue fever recorded
The 12th recorded case of dengue fever has occurred in Macau this year

Macau (MNA) ? The 12th case of imported dengue fever has been recorded for this year, according to the Health Bureau (SS) on Thursday.

The person affected is a 49-year old Macau resident living in Beco da Sal and working close to Avenida de Lisboa.

The resident had visited relatives alone in Jiangmen, Guangdong Province, on October 13 to 15.

On October 20, he had experienced symptoms such as fever, fatigue and appetite loss, and went to Kiang Wu Hospital on October 23 to take a blood test.

On October 24, the blood test results confirmed that the patient had Dengue Type 1 fever.

The patient is currently in Kiang Wu Hospital and is considered to be in stable condition...
