Ludhiana, August 28: DR Hari Mohan Saxena, Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), presented a lead paper at the international workshop, “Capacity Building in Areas of Avian Viral Diseases and Animal Biotechnological Applications” held at Chennai from August 21 to 23.
The workshop was attended by about 250 scientists, including many American scientists from Virginia Polytechnic and the University of Maryland, USA. The workshop was sponsored jointly by the US Department of Agriculture and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, under the US-India Agricultural Knowledge Initiative.
Dr Saxena was invited to present the lead paper on ‘Infectious Bursal Disease of Chickens’.
Dr Saxena has recently bagged a competitive grant of Rs 42 lakh from the Department of Biotechnology for his research project on infectious bursal disease of chickens.
