Health Department Director David Gifford to update Emergency Management Advisory Council on flu preparations including seasonal and H1N1 vaccinations
PROVIDENCE? Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts will convene the Emergency Management Advisory Council (EMAC), Tuesday, October 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the State House, Room 313.
Roberts will bring together EMAC members for a briefing from Health Department Director Dr. David Gifford on the state?s plans and preparations for an outbreak of H1N1 flu (swine flu) and for an update on both seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccinations. Lt. Gov. Roberts and state emergency management officials will also discuss steps being taken to ensure that common operational procedures and effective lines of communication are in place for managing H1N1 flu in Rhode Island.
