    • The H5N2 virus was isolated on a native chicken farm during intensified surveillance programme conducted on poultry farms surrounding the first H5N2 affected farm in Peng-Hu county in 2012.
    • Movement restriction was implemented on the affected farm and the chickens were inspected and found normal.
    • The Animal Health Research Institute (AHRI) subsequently confirmed this outbreak was caused by H5N2 LPAI virus according to the result of pathogenicity test.
    • The local government decided to cull the chickens on the farm as the measure for precaution on 3 January 2013 and the task was completed at the same day.
    • Cleaning and disinfection of the farm were carried out.
