- An intensified surveillance in accordance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code was carried out during a three-month period when the H5N2 was detected.
- Clinical and epidemiological investigations of surrounding farms within a 3-km-radius of the index layer farm in Nantou County have finished (a total of 35 farms) and no NAI case was observed or detected.
- According to the aforementioned information, Chinese Taipei declares that the H5N2 avian influenza outbreak confirmed on 29 February 2012 in Nantou County is resolved.
