Re: Long term conditions from severe H1N1?
As soon as I brought swine flu up at work, a co-worker said that his grandmother had survived it (1918) and had been susceptible to respiratory infections for the rest of her life. She died from pneumonia in her old age.
Because of the severity of the deep lung infections of both the 1918 and the current pandemic, we may get some indication from survivors of the 1918 flu. Probably not more than antidotal though, since I have not heard of any long term follow up on survivors.
