The Belknap County Area Committee on Aging has lined up speakers over the next 10 months addressing topics of interest to seniors and the general public.

Program schedules will be available at Forestview Manor's vendor table at the Sept. 22 Senior Wellness Festival to be held at the Opechee Conference Center in Lakeport.

Topic subjects being addressed this 2009-10 year include swine flu, identity theft, Medicare/Medicaid coverage, legal planning and early stage memory loss. Legislative bills potentially impacting seniors are called to attention at each meeting.

If you cannot attend the meetings, we are happy to add your name to the Area Committee's information sharing e-mail network listing.

The mission of the Area Committee on Aging is to promote healthy aging and to inform and advocate on behalf of senior issues. Meetings are open to the general public.

For more information, contact either Co-Chair Carrie Chandler at 279-2246 or Pat Marceau at 524-8444.
