VIENTIANE, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- A total of 430 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Laos since January 2023, according to the Lao Ministry of Health.

A report issued by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the ministry on Friday said the country recorded 12 new cases of dengue fever, bringing the total number of infections to 430.

The highest number of dengue cases was reported in Lao capital Vientiane at 83, while 76 cases were detected in Oudomxay province and 44 cases in Luang Prabang province...

Laos on alert with rising dengue fever cases

VIENTIANE, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Lao Ministry of Health urged people nationwide to remain vigilant and help control the spread of dengue fever, as the number of infected cases continues to grow across the country.

A report issued by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Thursday said the country reported 10 new cases of dengue fever, bringing the total number of infections to 670.

The highest number of dengue patients, or 116 cases, was reported in the Lao capital Vientiane, with 97 cases in Oudomxay province, and 64 cases in Khammuan province.

Lao Ministry of Health suggested several simple measures as the most effective method of dengue control, which are being practiced by households across the region...

A report issued by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Tuesday said the country reported 67 new cases of dengue fever, bringing the total number of infections to 4,095.

The highest number of dengue patients was reported in Oudomxay province with 807 cases, said the report.

VIENTIANE, July 14 (Xinhua) -- The number of dengue cases in Laos has risen to 10,871 as 343 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, according to a report from the Lao Ministry of Health on Friday.

A report issued by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Friday said that the highest number of cases occurred in Oudomxay province, where 2,450 cases were reported, while 1,778 cases were recorded in Khammuan province, and 918 in Luang Prabang province.

The dengue fever has caused six deaths, including three in Bolikhamxay province, and one each in the Lao capital Vientiane, Savannakhet, and Khammuan province.​..

VIENTIANE, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The number of dengue fever cases continues to grow in Laos, with two new deaths reported on Friday, according to the Lao Ministry of Health.

The number of dengue cases in Laos has risen to 17,473 as 371 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, according to a report by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the ministry on Friday, adding that the dengue fever has caused 12 deaths.

Oudomxay province has recorded the highest number of cases with 3,545, followed by 2,809 in Khammuan province, and 1,693 in Lao capital Vientiane.​..

VIENTIANE (Laotian Times): The number of dengue fever cases in Laos reached 23,432 on Sunday, with 14 deaths reported nationwide. This is an increase of 101 cases from the previous day.

A report from the Centre of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health found that Oudomxay province reported the highest number of dengue cases this year at 4,508, followed by Khammouane with 3,330 cases, Vientiane Capital with 2645 cases, Luang Prabang with 2,566 cases, and Savannakhet at 2,396 cases.

Although Oudomxay saw the highest number of cases, only one death was reported in the province. Bolikhamxay reported five deaths this year, the highest for any province, while Vientiane Capital and Savannakhet saw two deaths each.

The number of dengue fever cases in the country has increased significantly in recent weeks. In early August, the total number of cases was 18,337, indicating an increase of more than 5,000 cases within a month...
