VIENTIANE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2022 ) :An additional 161 dengue fever cases were reported across Laos in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally in the country to 4,087, according to the Lao Ministry of Health on Monday.

The Lao capital Vientiane logged the highest number of infections with 2,145, according to the Center of Information and education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Monday.

A total of 572 cases were reported in Saravan province, 324 cases in Attapeu, and 220 cases in Sekong province.

Laos recorded four deaths from dengue fever, including two in Lao capital Vientiane and two in Saravan province...

VIENTIANE, Aug 26 (Xinhua): The number of dengue cases in Laos surpassed 20,000 in the first eight months of 2022, according to the Lao Ministry of Health.

A report issued by the Centre of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Thursday night (Dec 25) said the country reported 224 new cases of dengue fever, bringing the total number of infections to 20,135 with 17 deaths recorded.

The highest number of dengue patients was reported in Lao capital Vientiane at 10,190, with 2,594 cases in Luang Namtha, and 1,261 cases in Attapeu province.

The 17 deaths included five in Vientiane, four in Attapeu, three in Saravan, two in Luang Namtha and Xieng Khuang, and one in Oudomxay province...

VIENTIANE, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- A total of 25,546 cases of dengue fever have been recorded across the country since January 2022, according to the Lao Ministry of Health.

A report issued by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Friday said the country reported 162 new cases of dengue fever, bringing the total number of infections to 25,546 with 18 deaths recorded.

The 18 deaths included five in Lao capital Vientiane and Attapeu province each, three in Saravan province, two each in Luang Namtha province and Xieng Khuang province, and one in Oudomxay province.

The highest number of dengue patients was reported in Lao capital Vientiane with 12,890, while 3,614 cases were recorded in Luang Namtha province, and 1,454 in Attapeu province...

VIENTIANE, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- A total of 30,029 cases of dengue fever have been recorded in Laos since January 2022, according to the Lao Ministry of Health.

A report issued by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Tuesday said the country reported 43 new cases of dengue fever, bringing the total number of infections to 30,029 with 22 deaths recorded.

The highest number of dengue patients was reported in the Lao capital Vientiane at 14,788, while 4,356 cases were detected in Luang Namtha province, and 1,571 cases were recorded in Attapeu province.

The Lao Ministry of Health suggested five simple measures as the most effective method of dengue control, which are being practiced by households across the region...

VIENTIANE, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Laos reported 32,364 cases of dengue fever in 2022, a significant increase from 1,400 cases in 2021, according to the Lao health ministry.

According to a report issued on Thursday by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health, the dengue virus has killed 24 people across the country in 2022.

The highest number of dengue patients was reported in the Lao capital Vientiane at 15,358, while 4,899 cases were detected in Luang Namtha province, and 1,759 cases were recorded in Luang Prabang province.

The 24 deaths included six each in Vientiane and Attapeu, five in Luang Namtha, three in Saravan, two Xieng Khuang, one each in Sekong and Oudomxay province...
