Re: Lack of Ebola Coverage
I've noticed that as well. Between the risk of becoming infected and the practical and/or legal requirement to self-quarantine for 21 days after returning from one of the countries hardest hit by the Ebola epidemic, I don't think there are many Western news organizations with reporters on the ground. That, and the current (fortunate) lack of spread to other countries makes for little headline-generating news.
The difference between now and last Spring is that the International Community has brought a lot more resources to bear, WHO, local governments, and local populations are treating the problem much more seriously. Of course, the epidemic is much larger too and a LOT more needs to be done.
