Mary is used to seeing her 16-year-old cousin Bradley Camic on the soccer field at Frankfort High School. For the past week, he has been in a hospital bed. At soccer practice Monday, Bradley had a seizure. Doctors at UK Hospital told family members that Bradley has Viral Encephalitis, inflammation of the brain from an infection. Doctors told family members it can stem from a virus from an insect bite. He had a bite about a month ago and treated it with antibiotics, but Mary says doctors can't say for sure that is what caused it....
