Kottayam trembles as fever cases rise

Hundreds of people are visiting various hospitals in the district as they have been affected by fever and other diseases. Apart from fever, chicken pox and jaundice are also affecting the public.
Many people have been infected by jaundice in Vakathanam, Kanji rapally, Erumely and Mundakkayam, whereas numerous cases of chicken pox have been reported in Karur, Thidanad, Ettumanur and Kallara. The sudden onslaught of rain coupled with the escalating heat are factors relating to the spread of diseases.
