Meat hygiene standard knowledge patchy among Tokyo restaurateurs, Mainichi finds

Following revelations that about half of Japan's restaurants were not abiding by national heath and hygiene standards for meat, the Mainichi went into the Okubo and Kabukicho districts of Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward to ask people running some of the many Korean and barbecue restaurants there what they knew about meat standards. What the Mainichi found was an enormous gulf in knowledge between restaurateurs........
