Abstract

In this multicentric study, we found no association regarding incidence or outcome between common single nucleotide polymorphisms in PTX3 and CLEC7A and invasive pulmonary aspergillosis in patients with severe viral pneumonia. The distinct pathophysiology of virus-associated pulmonary aspergillosis warrants exploration of genetic variation in novel candidates.

Keywords: CLEC7A; COVID-19; Dectin-1; PTX3; Pentraxin-3; aspergillosis; influenza; single nucleotide polymorphisms; virus-associated pulmonary aspergillosis.
