Stop to mink farms for the whole of 2021. Now running out, the news has arrived that he had been waiting for days. Health Minister Speranza has signed a new ordinance extending the suspension of Italian mink farms until 31 December 2021. It is not a definitive closure but it bodes well, also in view of the risks associated with the epidemic and the mutated virus.
It was now two days before the expiry of the ordinance dating back to November , when the suspension of the Italian mink farms was ordered until February 28th. Also in the light of what was happening in Denmark and in other countries of Europe and the world, Italy also preferred to run for cover and not risk that a possible mutated virus could pass from farms to humans, with serious repercussions on pandemic.
