From January 2024, 30 to September 2024, 897, 818 cases of measles were reported, of which 91,2 (26 percent) were laboratory confirmed, 53 probable and 31 possible cases, with 7,1 new cases reported in September. This was reported in the new monthly bulletin of the national surveillance system. Sixty-four (80,8 percent) of the cases reported in the period are imported cases. Seventeen Regions/Autonomous Provinces reported cases, of which eight (Lombardy, Lazio, Emilia-Romagna, Sicily, Campania, Tuscany, Abruzzo, Liguria) reported a total of 725 percent of cases (897/46,2). The highest incidence was observed in the Abruzzo region (45,5/million inhabitants) followed by Lazio (41,6/million inhabitants), Emilia-Romagna (39,2/million) and Sicily (20,3/million)...
