(AP) - Trucks that live poultry or eggs are transported to or from Romania, should be further cleaned and disinfected immediately after returning to the Netherlands. This measure was taken because the bird flu virus H5N1, which earlier this week in Romania was found. That was Minister of Agriculture Gerda Verburg announced Friday.

A number of small businesses on an island on the coast of the Black Sea is infected with the virus. All animals have since been cleared and there is a movement ban imposed.

The Food and Goods Authority has found that since the outbreak seven shipments of products or animals susceptible to the virus from Romania came to the Netherlands. In all cases from sites at least two hundred kilometers of the island.
