In epidemiological week thirty, ARI (ARI) and pneumonia cases at the departmental level have decreased, demonstrating a positive work of health centers and referral hospitals, said the director of the Departmental Service of Health, Roberto Amusqu?var .
In relation to the previous report had recorded 3538 cases of ARI and according to the latest departmental report 3236 recorded cases of IRAs and only 77 cases of pneumonia, demonstrating an improvement in care and prevention of the population. One of the highest reports of acute respiratory infections was given to the resumption of educational activities recorded 4124 cases.
"We continue to work according to the latest report of the epidemiology unit, we have an improvement in cases of ARI and pneumonia, a fact that helps us continue the work of prevention, care and guidance offered at the centers health and referral hospitals, "said the health authority.
According to epidemiological report of the Departmental Service of Health, there were 3236 cases of IRAs, 446 in children under one year, 775 children from one to four years, 393 in children aged five to nine years, 346 students from ten to twenty years, 950 cases in over twenty-one to fifty-nine years and 326 cases in adults over sixty years.
Related to cases of pneumonia were only 73, 24 year old children, 35 children aged one to five years, one in children under five to nine years, six children under twenty-one to fifty-nine years and 7 cases adults sixty years later.
The health authority said the epidemiological alert remains in force in the department, to prevent suspected cases of influenza A-H1N1 and continue to decrease rates of acute respiratory infections, cases of pneumonia and diarrheal diseases, which are presented today at the departmental level.
